Factory Calibration
Factory calibration for pressure sensors is available for Level TROLLs and Aqua TROLL 200s only. Factory calibration for water quality sensors is available for conductivity and turbidity.
Data Extraction
If a service order is for data extraction only, instruments will not be evaluated to determine a cause of malfunction.
Lithium Battery Warning
Please remove lithium batteries from your instrument or telemetry system or contact your freight carrier for details on how to properly ship prior to returning products to In-Situ Inc. We will not accept shipments containing lithium batteries that are not shipped in accordance with all applicable regulations. We are required to report such shipments to the appropriate regulatory agency.
Payment
There is an evaluation fee of up to £116/€175 per unit, on all non-warranty repairs and maintenance. To better serve our customers we allow you to pre-authorize any factory calibrations that you would like performed. If repairs, maintenance or replacements are recommended a Service Representative will contact you via email to provide an itemized Repair Quotation for your approval. If you decline repairs, you are still responsible for the evaluation fee, return shipping, and applicable taxes. Sales returns and warranty repairs do not require payment information. However, if your repair is determined not to be covered by the warranty, missing payment methods will delay service, and you will still be responsible for the evaluation fee.
Shipment
Service order numbers are only valid for 60 days. After you receive a service order number, please ship your equipment to In-Situ with the service order number clearly printed on the box or address label. Please note that all equipment must be cleaned and decontaminated and all packages must arrive with all taxes, duties, and freight charges pre-paid; delivery will be refused for any package arriving with freight charges due. The regulations and requirements covering the export and re-import of equipment sent for repair varies depending on the country. When shipping equipment back for repair please use HS number 9801.00.1012. When we re-export the equipment back to you we will use 9801.10.0000 and list the value on the commercial invoice as £/€50.00 for each unit and £/€25.00 for each accessory.
Guidelines for Cleaning
Please help us protect the health and safety of our employees by cleaning all equipment and decontaminating equipment that has been subjected to potential biological or health hazards, and by labeling such equipment. Please use the service order form to certify that the equipment has been cleaned and decontaminated and send it to us with each instrument. Unfortunately, we cannot service your equipment without such documentation.
- We recommend cleaning with only mild soaps which are compatible with the product(s) material. Wetted materials lists are provided on the product specification sheets.
- Clean all cables and remove all foreign matter.
- Clean the cable connectors with a clean, dry cloth. Do not submerge the connectors.
- Clean the instrument including the nose cone, cable head and protective cap. Do not submerge the connector.
- Clean pressure sensor faces by soaking in warm, soapy water. Do not insert any item into the sensor opening.
- PP1 (PowerPacks) and SP1 (Suction Pumps) MUST be drained of petrol and oil prior to shipping.
If it has been determined that equipment has not been properly decontaminated of hazardous substances, the customer will be responsible for all expenses related to inspection and decontamination. The customer will be held liable for any damage that In-Situ Europe may incur due to the receipt of contaminated equipment. In-Situ Europe reserves the right to dispose of equipment sent for evaluation where no PO for repair has been provided within 3 months of the quotation date. The company will not be liable for replacement of equipment disposed. The undersigned certifies that the above information is complete and correct. In-Situ Europe relies on the accuracy and completeness of this information to protect its employees.
