Your privacy is important to In-Situ Inc. and our subsidiary companies. This Privacy Statement describes our privacy practices when you interact with In-Situ’s websites, products, apps, software and other interactions we provide both online and offline, along with our marketing and advertising practices. We want you to understand how we use, store, handle and keep your data safe.

Information We May Collect
In-Situ collects data to provide you with the best experiences with our products and to provide you with information on equipment and services that we believe may be of interest to you. Personal information we hold may include your name, billing and shipping address, phone number, email address, job title, the company you work for, your industry, details concerning your monitoring project needs and equipment we have quoted and/or sold to you, payment data necessary to process your purchases, such as your payment instrument number (i.e., credit card-related information), plus a record of historical contacts with you. When you express an interest in obtaining additional information about our products, requesting a quote, registering to use the websites, or signing up for an event, we require you to provide personal contact information, such as name, company name, address, phone number and email address. When you purchase equipment or register for an event, In-Situ may also require you to provide the company with financial qualifications and billing information, such as billing name and address, credit card number, and information about the intended application of the equipment. When you apply for a job with the company, In-Situ may also require you to submit additional personal information, as well as a resume or curriculum vitae. We also collect names, emails and other personal information associated with the accounts on HydroVu, In-Situ’s interface with instruments and telemetry systems. This data is stored encrypted and is used to identify users, provide them with the information they requested concerning their data (such as an alarm based on the data, or notification of service outages), or for simple account maintenance (such as password resets or support requests). We do not share or market this data in any manner. Our VuSitu mobile application collects anonymous crash reports, which may contain device manufacturer, model, screen size, operating system, approximate location (country), and details of the crash. If you are logged into Cloud Connection, username and/or company name may be included in error and debugging reports. VuSitu may also collect anonymous general usage metrics and statistics. All collected reports are encrypted and we do not share or market this data in any manner. In-Situ may use this information to improve VuSitu and In-Situ instruments. As you navigate the In-Situ websites, we may also collect information through the use of commonly used information-gathering tools, such as cookies and web beacons. The information collected includes standard information from your web browser (such as browser type and browser language), your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, and the actions you take on the company’s websites (such as the web pages viewed and the links clicked). When using our website, you are agreeing to our Cookie Policy, as detailed below.

Why Do We Collect and How We May Use your Personal Information
We use data about our customers to perform the services requested. For example, if you fill out a “Request a Quote” form, we will use the information provided to contact you with a quote. We use the data we collect about customers and potential customers to operate our business based on our legitimate interest in better understanding our customers and providing the highest level of service, equipment and overall user-experience, as well as to send communications, including promotional communications and surveys. Our goal is to provide our customers with a more transparent, seamless and personalized experience. We share your personal data with your consent or as necessary to complete any transaction or provide you with the product or service you have requested or authorized; In-Situ does not share, sell, rent or trade personally identifiable information with third parties for their promotional purposes. In-Situ may share information collected with other companies that work on In-Situ’s behalf, such as distributors. Each company with whom we share information is bound by confidentiality agreements with us, and the information shared is limited to only what is necessary to provide our services to you. In-Situ may also use your data for marketing purposes. For example, we may use information you provide to contact you to further discuss your interest in services and to send you information regarding the Company, its affiliates and its partners, such as information about promotions or events. In-Situ uses credit card information solely to collect payment from customers. In-Situ uses cookies and web beacons to operate and improve the company’s websites. In-Situ also partners with third parties to manage our advertising on search engines and other sites. Our third-party partners may use cookies or similar technologies to provide you advertising based upon your browsing activities and interests. We use the data we collect about job applicants for purposes of potential employment and for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. We do not share any information about job applicants with third parties, unless an offer has been extended and the candidate acknowledges and approves the information will be shared as part of our pre-hire process.

Cookies and Information About Your Website Visits:

We may use this information for marketing of In-Situ products and services, in the administration of our website, or to improve the website’s usability. We may also use the information to recognize your computer when you visit our website and to personalize our website for you. Our websites use cookies. This is a very small text file sent to a web browser by a web server and stored by the browser on your hard drive. Each time the browser requests a page from the server, the cookie is sent back to the web server. This means that the web server is able to identify and track the browser and uniquely identify your computer. Third-Party Systems – Google Analytics, Pardot/Salesforce, and Microsoft Visual Studio App Center:
Pardot: Pardot is the maker of a web marketing automation suite. We use Pardot to gather information about visitors to our websites. Personal information is stored in Pardot/Salesforce if our visitors complete a form, for example for registration to events, contact/request forms or for subscription to our email communications. Non-personal information such as IP address, operating system, web browser and pages visited is gathered by Pardot. Pardot’s privacy policy is available here.

Google Analytics: Additionally, we use Google Analytics, which tracks your interaction with our website and stores non-personal information about IP address, operating system, web browser and pages visited. Also collected is information about demographics of the visitor, the device used and where the visit originated.

Microsoft Visual Studio App Center Analytics:
We may use App Center Analytics to collect and store VuSitu anonymous crash reports, general usage metrics and statistics, and error reporting. Safety and Security of Your Personal Information
We understand how important your data is to you, and In-Situ is committed to protecting the security of your personal data. We use a series of security technologies, procedures and processes to help protect your personal data from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. For example, In-Situ stores the personal data provided on secured computer systems with limited access, in controlled areas. When we transfer personal data, we do so with an adequate level of data protection in place. We take steps to ensure data collected is processed in accordance with these provisions and the requirements of applicable law where the data is located.

Third-party agents may process or store personal data on our behalf in a manner that is consistent with the principles of this Privacy Statement, In-Situ will remain liable for any inconsistencies, unless we prove we are not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage.

We will not knowingly collect data from children under 13 years of age, however, should such information be required, we will ask consent from a parent or guardian before using any of the information.

Retention of Your Personal Data
In-Situ retains personal data until it is no longer relevant to our business, inclusive of providing products and fulfilling requested transactions, complying with legal or governmental requirements, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements.

How Can You Access and Manage Your Personal Information / Contact Us
Your data belongs to you. If you would like to correct, update, delete or request copies of the personal information you have provided to us, you may contact us via email or you can send a letter to the postal address below, including your name, email address and purpose of your request. We may need to verify your identity with you before implementing your request. We will comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable and in accordance with applicable law. Some of your information may remain within our systems and other records, in compliance with applicable law.

You have the right to request that In-Situ stop using your personal data for direct marketing by visiting our Preference Center. We will always comply with your request, however, unsubscribing from direct marketing is not the same as a request to delete your personal data. For example, if you unsubscribe from a mailing list, it will be necessary to retain your email address on record to prevent marketing emails from being sent to you. If the information is deleted, there is no way to discern whether you have been unsubscribed.

Updates to this Privacy Statement
This Privacy Statement may be changed periodically when necessary. When we post changes to this statement, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of the statement and it will become effective when we post the revised Notice. In the event of a conflict between this In-Situ Privacy Statement and the terms of any agreement(s) between a customer and In-Situ, the terms of those agreement(s) will control.
