This Aqua TROLL sensor addresses the drawbacks of traditional field turbidity sensors, with features such as Ambient Light Rejection, Integrated Optical Compensation and low-cost calibration.
Integrated Optical Compensation uses a second detector to measure the LED drift and automatically compensate each reading. This feature enables extremely stable turbidity performance, even in challenging conditions under 1 NTU.
Ambient Light Rejection
Ambient Light Rejection separates the light from the sensor from other ambient light sources, enabling the same degree of accuracy regardless of lighting conditions or deployment location. You no longer have to worry about where the turbidity sensor was calibrated or if it's deployed deep shade or full sun.
Isolated Optical Frequencies
Each In-Situ optical sensor runs at a unique frequency that creates a digital signature for each light source. This signature allows the system to separate out interference between sensors and improves overall system accuracy.
Mini Calibration Cup
When calibrated with an Aqua TROLL 500 or 600, only 50 mL of calibration solution is needed for both rinsing and calibration. This reduces turbidity calibration cost by 5 times, over traditional designs.
3D Factory Calibration
In-Situ performs a 6-point factory calibration on every sensor. This calibration ensures that the sensor is linear across the full 0-4,000 NTU range and reduces the number of required user calibration points.
